Part of our Mentoring Out of the Box program, Broadway performers Bret Shuford, Charissa Bertels, Jerold Goldstein, and Kristin Huffman were joined by college interns Savannah Lobel, Troyer Coulter, and Nate Whiple for the customized and informative shows for the Darien School System.

Students were invited on stage to learn to Tap Dance with Bret (Broadway credits: Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Chitty Chitty, and Mary Poppins) and act in The Sound of Music with all three performers.  Jerold Goldstein (Broadway credits: Little Shop of Horrors, A Funny Thing Happened…) led the whole crowd in a sing-a-long duet, and Kristin Huffman (Broadway credits: Company) dressed up 14 different young female students as “Elphaba” in Wicked during the song “Popular.”
