PETER PAN – RE-IMAGINED: Pirates and Pixies with New Paradigm!
Riding on the heels of New Paradigm Theatre’s sold-out “Oliver-Reinvented” production last year, NPT will continue their collaborative concept by producing the beloved musical “Peter Pan” in FTC’s Warehouse theatre.
Tying in the idea of “stimulating a child’s imagination so they can create a better world”, NPT’s premier nonprofit partner this year is K.E.Y.S. (Kids Empowered by Your Support). K.E.Y.S.’ mission is to bring one-on-one instrument lessons and group music instruction to under-served inner-city children. Youth from lower Fairfield as well as youth from K.E.Y.S. will participate side-by-side with Broadway professionals to create this production of Peter Pan, fulfilling NPT’s mission of fostering creative problem solvers, leaders, and global citizens through theatre arts education and production. Emmy and Oscar winner Paul Bogaev will again be the musical producer as well as playing “Hook”!
As partnerships between the nonprofit and for-profit world continue to form in order to tackle social challenged from all sides, this type of collective impact production has become increasingly relevant and a vital component of a community. Doors will open one hour prior to performance for our “Prologue Bazaar” and all children (and children at heart) are encouraged to dress in their favorite Pirate or Pixie outfit!
