Singers from age 8 through adult will audition and receive professional feedback from Broadway and film casting directors, agents and producers in New Paradigm Theatre’s (NPT) signature event: SO YA WANNA BE A BROADWAY STAR? Pre-registration is required.
Previous winner Cidalia Alves was featured in TV appearances following the competition. From her experience she said, “The chance to sing in front of Broadway decision makers and to network with them was invaluable.”

Early bird registrants will receive a discounted application fee of $45. The deadline for early bird registrations is September 23, 2017. Registrations received after the early bird registration date will be entered as a standard application for the event of $50.
Kristin Huffman, Producing Artistic Director NPT, Broadway Performer and professor at University of Hartford will also lead a panel discussion and the audience may ask insider questions about the industry. “Mentoring is a large component of NPT’s mission statement. We often feature the stand-out performers we meet at this event in our shows. More importantly, our Youth Board of directors is also very involved in learning leadership through the arts; and is comprised of teens from Milford to Greenwich who help with this event. They also help in fundraising and performing for other nonprofits, NPT MainStage shows, soup kitchens, and senior homes.”
